From 15-19 August 2012 the 139th Dublin Horse Show will take place in the world famous RDS showgrounds.

The Show combines world class equestrianism with a wide breadth of entertainment, from the style and glamour of Blossom Hill Ladies’ Day on Thursday to the pageantry of Nation’s Cup day on Friday and the excitement of the Pony Club Games, The Land Rover Puissance, The Longines Grand Prix and the Hunt Chase over the weekend. The Show is an experience for the whole family.

The 2012 Show which runs from 15-19 August, is one event this summer that is not to be missed! With so much on offer the Show really has something for everyone!

The Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show is a Dublin institution that showcases Irish Breeding and best in National and International Showjumping. The FEI Nations Cup will see Ireland compete against the best show jumping countries in the world. Competitions taking place include the Power & Speed Championship, the Land Rover Puissance, The Longines International Grand prix and the Hunt Chase! With a range of national jumping competitions and showing classes, the Show is certain to be a great five days of action. With competitors from around the world and varying in all ages, The Dublin Horse Show will see over tens of thousands of people come and visit the spectacle.

Blossom Hill Ladies Day will be taking place August 16th - to enter Ladies Day all you need to do is purchase a general admission ticket and show up on the day looking fabulous!

The mystifying Frenchman, Jean-François Pignon and his free roaming Camargue ponies are set to take centre stage at the 2012 Dublin Horse Show, with demonstrations twice daily as part of the equestrian entertainment programme.

Jean-Francois Pignon has become something of a phenomenon, having developed and refined his skills of natural horsemanship to an unimaginable level. He will demonstrate the true trust and understanding that can exist between man and horse through a series of daredevil acts and acrobatics in the RDS Main Arena and Simmonscourt during this year’s show.

Visitors to this year’s show will find a wide range of consumer goods, fashion wear, millinery, equestrian clothing, wines and confectionery in over 300 trade stands. The RDS National Crafts and Student Art winners Exhibition will be held in the RDS Concert Hall during the show, with the prize winning pieces and works of excellence form the winners will be on display.

This year sees the return of the very popular Kids Zone. Situated to the rear of the grand stand, the entertainment here includes pony rides, face painting, bouncing castles and a fun playground. The very popular Billy Bubbles returns to the band lawn this year with his magic show.
